The Istanbul Convention (2011), of which Portugal is one of the first signatories, is a legal-political framework in combating violence against women and preventing gender-based violence. In this session Isabel Ventura evaluates the Portuguese reality in terms of legislation in the area of sexual violence. Maria João Faustino discusses the limits of the concept of consent in the fight against rape culture.
